Stopping trouble before it starts
It’s up to the schools to keep our kids safe, right? It’s also their responsibility to stop bad drug habits before they start, right? That’s why it’s absolutely incumbent for a well run school district to place a 6 year old in detention and take it very, very seriously, when she uses playtime to gather together a bag of clover, rocks and dirt. Too much of that and, the next thing you know, she’ll be combing the fields for bags of weed. I’m not making this insanity up. At From The Word Go, Heather follows-up on this horrible story about a school taking this completely innocuous, child-like behavior very, very seriously. And we wonder why our children — straightjacketed at their desks, stuffed with PC material, and punished for innocent, age-appropriate conduct — hate school.
