Mr. Bookworm cannot understand why Israel started a major war over three soldiers. No matter the horrors of their kidnapping, and the infiltration of Israeli terroritory associated with those kidnappings, he thinks that the kidnappings are not a sufficient reason to go to war. I asked, “What about the thousands of missile strikes since Israel withdrew from Gaza?” “What missile strikes?” Yes, folks, although he reads the NYTimes, the WaPo, the LATimes, the New Yorker, and the SF Chron, Mr. Bookworm had never heard about those thousands of missile strikes. Heck, even the BBC knows about it, but our papers have kept their devoted followers ignorant.
