My favorite new blog of the day — Ben Howe Blog

Okay, it’s not a new blog, but it’s new to me, so that’s what counts for purposes of this post.  You already know Ben Howe from his well-received Last Best Hope video.  It turns out that Ben is not a “one hit wonder.”  Instead, he is a film maker for the new political era, someone who can distill complex thoughts and critiques into three minute videos.

Yesterday I did a post about the facile, puerile approach Progressives take towards conservatives.  I illustrated the post with a video that attacked conservatives by taking every Progressive’s stereotype about conservatives, reducing those stereotypes to words, and then putting those words in the mouths of actors purporting to be Republicans.  This is not sophisticated analysis.  It is political discussion as sophomoric comedy, lacking only the poop jokes.

What Ben does is infinitely more sophisticated.  He looks at the core political ideology animating the Progressives, and then hones in on their own words to illustrate that ideology.  The result is chilling.  Here’s his latest example:
