There’s a reason Obama didn’t ask the crowd to hold its applause *UPDATED*
All of us griped about the pep rally quality the “memorial” service had. Many chided Obama for not being the grown-up, and requesting, in a short sentence, that people remain silence. It turns out that Obama wasn’t just passive, he was complicit in the applause. You won’t believe this. You really won’t. This kind of political rally is a couple of preliminary steps on the very long, and dangerous road to this. And no, I’m not say that the Administration or the Dems are Nazis. I am saying, however, that they have the same Leftist impulse towards massive, choreographed public displays of political worship.
UPDATE: Forgive this crude update, but I’m on the iPhone. I just wanted to say that those of you counseling caution are absolutely right. I never thought about the hearing impaired, because I’ve never been to a loud rally. That may or may not be the reason behind the “applause” line, but it’s such a real possibility it vitiates any conclusion that the applause was scripted and prompted. Thank you for being my voices of reason.
