“Clinton’s” balanced budgets were actually the result of a Republican Congress
This one is from Sadie and it demonstrates that Clinton is not the one who can get credit for the balanced budget on his watch. Of course it also demonstrates that there is plenty of blame to go around for the unbalanced budgets before and since. The overall point, that balanced budgets, in the rare cases they do occur, occur only when Republicans hold control of both houses of Congress (at least since 1969) should come as no surprise to anyone. As to the stock market, what is it telling us and where does it go from here? [I (DQ) have been giving Nixon credit for 1969 all these years. Suppose it depends how you look at it.]
Below the Top (drop)10 from Dow Jones. No additional information with it, just the stats. So, I did a little digging around and found that no, that’s NO Democrat-controlled Congress/Senate has balanced the budget in the past 40 years post 1969. Surely, someone has a question or comment.
